I am currently a junior at Columbia University in New York City. I am studying biomedical engineering and political science at the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science.

A central part of Columbia's education is the "Core Curriculum." This program forces students out of their designated degree paths and encourages them to explore other fields of study instead. Through this experience, I've been able to take some incredible unique classes such as Music Humanities, Global Core and more!

As a young-adult living in New York City, I also find a lot of my education happens off-campus. Whether that me through Museum hopping (the photo on the right is the actual Starry Night Painting by Vincent Van Gogh at MoMA!), exploring new parts of the city like Jackson Heights where I can reconnect with my South Asian heritage, or participating in amazing opportunities like the annual Concordia Summit - NYC stimulates my growth both through the traditional and non-traditional way!
