Policy Initiatives

Policy is critical to implementation, whether that be of new ideas or innovations. I'm a firm believer that in order to bring about the next era of growth, we must integrate science and policy together. I've been lucky enough to work with federal and state legislators as well as with the Democratic Party to work on this initiative!

Experiences

Intern for Majority Leader Senator Chuck Schumer

I worked as a casework and press intern for Senator Schumer (NY). In this role, I worked with federal agencies like the IRS, FDA, Patent Office, etc to support New York's constituents. In addition, I worked with his office on the CHIPS and Science Act.

Intern for Congressman Jerry Nadler

As a member of the district that Congressman Nadler represented (NY-12), I worked with the USPS, IRS and Immigration Services to help those of the community that I lived in.

Intern for Ohio Representative Rachel Baker

My primary role was to develop Representative Baker's (OH-27) social media. I implemented a weekly "fireside chat" video series which helped to grow her accounts over 100% in terms of followers, retention and engagement.

College Chair for Warren County Young Democrats

As the College Chair for WCDP Young Dems, my role is to support the awareness & growth of Warren County's young voters. We've already worked to accomplish this with a new social media campaign, biweekly newsletters and regular events like GOTV rallies!

Events

Ohio Democrats "Family Reunion"

As the College Chair of the Warren County Young Democrats, I was invited to attend the Ohio Democrats "Family Reunion" to share my perspectives as a young politically active person in Ohio.

Concordia Annual Summit (held in conjunction with UNGA)

As a facilitator for speaker relations and communications at Concordia, I worked with many elite policy and advocacy professionals including Former US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, UNICEF Ambassador Sofia Carson, and many more.

Canvassing

In-person and direct outreach is one of the best ways to elite to a politically aware community. Through my canvassing efforts in NYC and Cincinnati, I have been able to raise awareness for many issues such as insulin price-caps and the Reproductive Rights Amendment.
