I recently graduated from Columbia University with my BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering, bringing a science-driven approach to solving real-world problems here in Ohio. As a lover of all things interdisciplinary, my work centers at the intersection of science and policy. Essentially, how can we apply science to the real world through policy initiatives?

As we continue to face global crises like climate change, pandemics, threats to women’s healthcare, and more - we need to turn to fact-based solutions. We also need to have policy and decision-makers who have a diversity in thought and lived experiences. Educators should be making decisions about education, scientists about science, and medical professionals about medicine. But all of these fields are underrepresented in politics.

I hope to be at the forefront of this movement to bring science out of the lab, and into the real world where it can help millions. I’ve already done a lot of work in this arena, and I hope you’ll join me on this mission
